They initially launched in competition with TikTok, but quickly became a top marketing choice for big brands and influencers.

Reels allow users to create short videos and add effects, audio and text. Once uploaded, reels are shared in your feed and can be seen by followers plus watched over again. And unlike stories, there's no expiration date, making them a valuable marketing asset.
