I’ve been working as a freelance writer for over seventeen years with clients ranging from marketing firms to yoga teachers. My career began in music journalism, doing interviews with artists like Maroon 5 and Jason Mraz, countless concert reviews around NY and NJ, and eventually writing over 300 published articles. Working hand in hand with publicists, managers, and small businesses, I have gained a firm knowledge of what it takes to make marketing materials outstanding.

A large portion of my business in the past several years has been in social media. I love the personality and fast pace of social networking. It’s the perfect marriage of business marketing and creative writing that is essential for the modern freelance writer. But in the end, I’m genuinely a storyteller at heart. Whether it’s working with authors, helping them bring their books to fruition, crafting online copy for clients, or social media posts, I love writing all of it. I’m also working on a fictional thriller and am obsessed with setting stories in the most mysterious parts of the world. 

I received a BMus in Music Management from William Paterson University and am a classically trained pianist. I live in New Jersey with my husband, Mario, and our two (stunning) children Olivia and Evan. Since the Lukins love to travel, I look forward to exploring the world with my family, and of course, writing about it.
